How to Embed CommuniBee News & Event Feeds Into Your Website

We’re very excited to share with you a brand new feature of CommuniBee that will allow you to embed news & events posted to your community app into your website.

For an example, check out this feed below that showcases news from a sample community.

For an example of an events calendar, check out below.

Step 1: Find Your Community ID Number

In order to publish a feed of your news or events, you first need to find your community ID number. This can be found by going to your admin page and clicking on your community name.

From here, you’ll be able to see the code that relates to your specific community. Copy this code down as we’ll use it in future steps.

Step 2: Edit the Embed Link To Work With Your Community

Below you’ll find three links that can provide you with news or event feeds that can be placed on your website. Replace the #1026 with your community ID.

Step 3: Replace the Embed Link In this iFrame code

An iFrame is a bit of code that allows you to display information from one site onto another site. In order to do this with CommuniBee, just replace the embed link in the code below with the link from Step 2.

If you need to change the width or height of the news or event feed, change the corresponding pixel values in between the quotation marks.

Step 4: Paste the iFrame code into the website page you want it on.

Most websites allow you to paste code into them directly. All you need to do is post the code into the page that you’d like it and your CommuniBee feed will show up!

You may also need to re-enter quotation marks in order for your embedded features to show up, as HTML can be a little finnicky.

We’ve also created a video that goes through the 4 setup steps:

If you’d like to see an example of the feed in action, head over to the Carlisle website.
