Alberta Seniors Week: Older, Bolder, Better! Tradeshow Highlights

In Alberta, the first week of June is recognized as Seniors Week throughout many communities around the province. Our team was fortunate enough to be a part of this year’s celebration! Launch57 had the pleasure to attend tradeshows at Strathcona County on June 5th, and Westend Seniors Activity Centre (WSAC) on June 8th.  During both events, Graham Murray, President & CEO of Launch57, was a keynote speaker to announce the upcoming release of our seniors-friendly engagement app, CommuniBee.

We have been partnering with Dr. Haidong Liang, Executive Director of Westend Seniors Activity Centre to develop a seniors-friendly solution that WSAC and Strathcona County will use to help facilitate their senior-serving operations. Launch57’s expertise with mobile technology, and Dr. Liang’s vision and understanding of seniors’ needs are what makes the CommuniBee app refreshingly unique.

Across both tradeshows at Strathcona County and Westend Seniors Activity Centre, our team had set up a booth to demonstrate CommuniBee’s many senior-friendly features. The Launch57 team relished the opportunity to get live feedback from the many seniors in attendance, many of whom were eager to try the app themselves. The Speech-to-Text AI Chatbot, and Multilingual Support were big hits among both crowds!

CommuniBee is set to roll out in mid-July at Strathcona County’s senior centre, then Westend Seniors Activity Centre will follow in early 2024. In addition to those launches, our team has plans to take CommuniBee across Alberta, throughout Canada, and eventually, into the United States.
