Understanding page blocks

Page Blocks are the building blocks of your web pages within the CommuniBee platform. Think of them as pre-designed sections that you can customize and assemble to create pages without needing any coding knowledge. Each block is tailored for specific content types or functionalities, allowing you to mix, match, and stack them to build pages that meet your unique needs.

With Page Blocks, every page you create in CommuniBee can be distinctly yours. While certain features, like events or products, come with their own specialized templates, you have the freedom to enhance these pages with additional Page Blocks for a customized appearance. Alternatively, for full creativity, build a static page entirely from the Page Blocks you select.

Types of Page Blocks

Text Block: Incorporate headings, body text, with customizable padding, text alignment, and color schemes. Optionally include a button to direct users to a certain page in your CommuniBee site or to an external site.

Side Image Block: Place images to the left or right, complemented by a header and body text on the opposite side, and include an optional button for directing users within your community or to an external site. Multiple images display in a carousel.

Side Item Block: Promote existing community items, such as events, products, or news posts. This block will display that item’s feature image, title, short description.

Multiple Item Block: Ideal for creating sections like ‘Similar Items’ or ‘Recommendations’, linking to specific content across your site.

Column Block: Offers layout flexibility to design columns of content, which can display an image, headings, body text, and a button. Perfect for highlighting team members, services, or various community offerings.

Recent Posts Block: Add a section that highlights recently published news posts. This block will also include a link to view all posts. Optionally display news posts from a specific category only.

Upcoming Events Block: Add a section that displays upcoming events in your calendar. This block will also include a link to view all upcoming events.

Maximizing Page Block Use

  • Consistency is Key: Maintain a uniform style across blocks for a cohesive page design.
  • Engage with Visuals: Use high-quality images and thoughtful layouts to capture attention.
  • Direct with Purpose: Utilize buttons and links to guide users through your site, enhancing their journey and your content’s visibility.
